Since we were kids, September has always been the start of new things. New teachers, never-used pencils, shiny shoes and warm sweaters. We reinvented ourselves every fall.
PSCA has a similar vibe this September, especially thanks to our NEW WEBSITE! This has been a long time coming, and we are grateful to BadCat Design for taking the cluttered dysfunction of phillycircus.com and turning it into this streamlined beauty. We’re all terribly excited about it. That said, it is a new site, and new sites sometimes have growing pains – please let us know if you encounter any difficulties in navigating it.
We have NEW JOB TITLES! With Shana returning at last from the tour, it was time to re-evaluate everyone’s job titles and responsibilities. Please say hello to Executive Director Shana Kennedy, Director of Programming Kitsie O’Neill, General Manager Bryan Clark, and Administrative Assistant Tanaya Thomas.
And how about this NEW EQUIPMENT! Give a gentle welcome to these very solid and heavy Parkour obstacles. Our most-intrepid students this year are throwing themselves over these things repeatedly.
And share some love with our new round friend the Cyr Wheel. His name is Steve*.
(*that’s not entirely accurate. This Cyr Wheel is actually owned by front desk staffer Steve Swayngim, but he is letting us foster-care it for a while.)
Let’s not forget to admire our NEW PARKING LOT FENCE! Beautification of the exterior of PSCA is never an easy task, but we’re making progress.
That’s all the newness we can handle for one September. The PSCA we know and love is still here, with all of its dependable goodness intact. We hope you come and play with us this fall. Challenge yourself! And bring all of your energy into another season of circus.
