PSCA Presents “First Draft”
January 22
PSCA is working on a new show format where we bring back the opportunity for our Philadelphia circus community to present works-in-progress. The goal for this show is to give a stage to artists who are taking risks with new inspired work, or who just want a space to present an act that has always lingered in their bodies but hasn’t yet had an opportunity to present itself, to give motivation to make new art, and to give the audience the chance to be engaged and offer feedback on these showings.
Our first ever First Draft will be held on Friday, January 22 with a snow date of Sunday, January 24. We are including a public costume swap in this event. Please bring in any clean costumes that you no longer wear, and potentially gain some new ones!
For this January show, we are looking for acts that reflect the theme of a new year, growing and evolving, shedding anything unwanted, or looking forward.
We will notify folks of the final lineup by Dec 1. Thank you for applying and please feel free to share to anyone in the Philly circus community!
